Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This policy explains how we handle analytics and privacy on the Muonity website.
Who we are
Muonity is an independent project operated by Lukáš Pokorný, who is responsible for the processing described in this policy. Muonity is a project name, not a separate legal entity.
Website: muonity.com

Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 only after your explicit consent to understand how visitors use Muonity and to improve the website. This includes visits, referral sources, device and browser information, page views, scrolling, engagement, and clicks on external links. We also measure clicks on the Retro Stack Attack Google Play badge.
Consent
You can choose Allow analytics or Decline. Until you allow analytics, the Google Analytics script is not loaded and no analytics measurements are sent to Google. Declining does not limit access to the website.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through Privacy settings in the footer of this page or the homepage. Withdrawal stops further analytics measurement; it does not undo processing that already took place with your consent. Advertising consent remains disabled even when you allow analytics.
Google Analytics
Google provides Google Analytics. After consent, Google receives technical and usage information such as pages visited, interaction events, referral information, browser and device details, and cookie-based identifiers. Requests to Google's services also involve technical connection information.
For details, see Google Analytics data safeguards and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Cookies and local storage
We save your analytics choice in your browser's local storage under muonity.analytics-consent.v1. It contains the preference version, your choice, and the time of that choice, but no visitor identifier. The choice is valid for 180 days and is shared between pages on the same website origin. We do not send this local record to an external server.
If you allow analytics, Google Analytics can use identifiers and cookies, including _ga and _ga_JF7S6KW832. Our cookie configuration limits their lifetime to 180 days without extending it on each page load. If you decline or withdraw consent, the website removes the accessible Google Analytics cookies used by this stream. This does not delete data already sent to Google.
Clearing browser storage or expiry of your preference makes the website ask again. If local storage is unavailable, your choice applies only to the current page.
Data we do not intentionally collect
Our own analytics implementation does not intentionally send your name, email address, User-ID, form contents, or other text you provide to Google Analytics. The custom Google Play click event contains only fixed game and destination labels. This does not mean that using an external analytics service involves no personal data.
Legal basis
Website analytics is based on your consent, including under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR where applicable. Giving consent is optional. Without it, Google Analytics is not loaded. We keep your local preference so that the website can remember and respect your decision.
Data retention
The retention of analytics data on Google's servers depends on the settings of our GA4 property and Google's applicable policies. The 180-day local preference and cookie configuration is separate from server-side data retention and does not determine it.
You can contact us for information about the current retention setting. Google's data retention documentation explains these controls and their limits, including that they do not govern standard aggregated reports.
International data transfers
Google is an external provider, and processing may involve countries outside your country or the European Economic Area. The terms and transfer mechanisms applicable to Google's services govern these transfers. See Google's information about international data transfers and Privacy Policy for current details.
Your choices and rights
You can decline analytics, withdraw your consent through Privacy settings, and contact dev@muonity.com with privacy questions or requests.
Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict the processing of, or receive a portable copy of personal data, and to object to certain processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website or the services we use change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
